Was Pominville really that good?? Maybe he is better and more important than we all realized. The club was not good last season but it was not down right embarrassing as it is today. Was it a good decision to dump Lindy for a rookie Head Coach? It is not like we lost Crosby and Malkin here..... Why is there such a dropoff in this team vs. last year? What did we have in this lineup last year that we do not this year that is causing this mess? I believe it is "hope" and the vets know this is a sinking ship. Keep up the good work Darcy.

I'm thankful that the Sabres play in the Atlantic division.

Darcy pulled a great fleece on that trade

Pommers is a great third liner...
Sabres never went anywhere when he was forced to play top minutes.
Was better when relatively unknown

He became a problem when Darcy paid him 5 mil per. Now Wild have made a bigger mistake.

He takes that overly ambitious slap shot f everywhere on the ice...often fanding and going back the other way

I just hope Pommers can convince Fletcher to take Stafford

I want Vanek to stay but if Wild paid ransom for Pommers I guess I'd listen to what they'd offer

Sabres should try to pry one of edmontons young studs for Miller/ top d prospect like ristolainen zadurov myers and some(picks?)

Wow. This is just bad. The whole thing.

Pominville should be on a team's second line, with top line fill in duty when necessary.

There's also no way Miller ends up in Edmonton, as he has a limited no trade clause and I can guarantee it's on is no no list.

They're also not going to move Ristolainen or Zadorov yet. No way in hell that happens.

I disagree on Miller as Edmonton is a better situation then he is in now, it puts him closer to the west coast where he wants to be and what's the difference if he spends the rest of the year in Edmonton or Buffalo...he is free to sign where ever next year.

Edmonton is not in a much better situation. They have no defense there. No matter what goalie is there, they won't do any better until they fix the D. He's fighting for a spot on the Olympic team. The Sabres have played better defensively in front of him than Edmonton would. His stats aren't bad, even with the team being terrible in front of him offensively.

Being in Edmonton doesn't help much as far as proximity goes because it's still a different time zone and the mileage is almost as far. And then he's further away from his family. At least in Buffalo he's in the same time zone as his family and he can hop in the car and drive there if he really wanted to.

I'm talking about getting high end young talent to build around offensively to complement the nice found D corps, A Yakupov, a Hall, a Nugent Hopkins.
Oilers are not going to give them away. You would have to start with a Ristolainen or Zadurov just to start, maybe add Ennis and we are still aways from acquiring one those special talents.
We are almost as loaded w nice young D on back end as they are offensive top heavy. Groom some special O to go with our D. Next years draft is not so special. Maybe thow in a couple 2nd rounders.

Yakupov for Zadurov/Ennis/ two 2014 second rounders, Stafford if they'd bite
I would do that f Sabres standpoint, would you? Unfortunately there is no way Oilers would. Heck if Miller agreed to go there for rest of season I'd put him that package also.
Swing for the fences!

That being said, I agree Edmonton is on Miller's list. Just makes too much sense on paper...I'm thinking Islanders become a darkhorse with Flyers, Caps in the mix... All Eastern so value should be up too

No way Darcy moves Miller until deadline. Miller is a terrific goaltender and if he not in net Darcy's work will be exposed for what it is. This team will set NHL records this season.....
